Syrian Refugees

In December 2015 Kids Against Hunger Your Quad Cities packaged 256,608 for Syrian Refugees in Iraq. This event was led by the Muslim and Jewish communities of the Quad Cities.

The meals that we packaged for the Syrian Refugees were loaded on a C-130 and flown by the US Air Force to Iraq.

They were received by Mr. Sirwan Jafr of the Barzani Charity  Foundation (BCF) to be distributed to the refugees.

Following is a note from  that was received from BCF Public Relations:

Dear all,

Hope this email finds you all well. First of all let me thank you and express our deepest gratitude on behalf of the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF)and all the people who get benefit from your humanitarian aid.  Your precious assistance is very much appreciated and it is very helpful for the IDP’s and Refugees and needy people who flee to Kurdistan region because of ISIS threat.  The humanitarian aid is being used for Sinjar mountain, new arrival camps which are around 4 camps and the number of the population is around 100,000 IDP’s.   It is considered as a very useful and appropriate portion of food which would be able to save the life of many people especially those who arrive to the camp at midnight.  Once again we thank all the people who have been a part of this valued humanitarian project.

We wish you all Marry Christmas and happy new year.

God Bless you.
Vary respectfully,

Eskandar Saleh
